Course Reflective Narrative
This class was one of the most important in my stay at CSUMB because during this class I acquired much knowledge mainly about the culture and civilization of Spain from the Romanization of the Peninsula to the most famous literary works of the twentieth century. This class meets the requirement of MLO 3 because in it I learned about some events that marked the Spanish history. In my view geography plays a very important role. Thanks to this, now I can get a deeper understanding either on political, social, cultural or economic contexts of Spain. These contexts are easy to understand depending on certain times in Spain either from the Spanish conquest in the fifteenth century to the emergence of leading intellectuals in the twentieth century as Pio Baroja, Valle-Inclán, Ortega y Gasset name a few. In this class I learned to categorize different historical events depending on the time to which they belong thanks to the different activities we did in class and the different tests that Professor Gómez gave us constantly. The express my ideas in class was an activity that helped me a way to understand and memorize the material. This technique is very efficient as it can consistently write reflections in my notes to clarify my ideas exposing my knowledge after each lesson. My goal is to try to get a more comprehensive knowledge of Spanish literature and that through this we can create historical connections that are often exposed only through writing. To achieve my goal I need to read more about great literature to analyze the different eras.
